Leading Freshman Sire Wildcat Heir picked up his crop-high seventeenth winner on Labor Day when his first-time starter My Good Friend keyed a Wildcat Heir exacta along with runner-up Wildcat’s Storm in a Calder maiden race.

The 2-year-old colt streaked to a 5 ¼-length win over Wildcat’s Storm, who was the favorite in the five-furlong race. My Good Friend, a bay out of the West by West mare Lull, is trained by Jose Garofallo, who also owns the colt along with Jose Antonio Hernandez.

Through Sept. 7th, Wildcat Heir continues to lead all Freshman Sires in North America with progeny earnings of $475,581.
