Jacks or Better Farm, Inc.’s Awesome Belle turned in her second stakes victory in month, and third straight, with a powerful 4 ¾-length victory in the $75,000 Judy’s Red Shoes S. Saturday at Calder. The 3-year-old daughter of Awesome of Course took the $75,000 Crystal Rail S. Aug. 18 and the $75,000 Three Ring S. July 21, both at the south Florida track.

Awesome Belle, Fort Loudon and Redbud Road have earned multiple black-type placings this year for their sire. Awesome of Course is also the sire of 2010's undefeated 2-year-old champion filly Awesome Feather, who is currently training very well at Saratoga for her return to the races this autumn.

Starting from the inside stall under Fernando Jara, Awesome Belle took control of the race the moment the gates opened establishing an unchallenged position on the lead. With none of her challengers able to get closer than a length after six furlongs in 1:13.09, Awesome Belle pulled clear easily coming intot he stretch. She covered the 1 1/16-mile distance over yielding turf in 1:44.46.

“Once she made the lead, she was very happy to relax, and just like last time, there wasn’t a horse that really tried to come at us,” Jara said. “And once she got relaxed, I knew that she would finish the race strong.”

Trained by Stanley Gold, Awesome Belle, who also won the $300,000 My Dear Girl Division of the 2011 Florida Stallion S., has now visited the winner’s circle five times in 18 starts with lifetime earnings of $398,387.
