Journeyman Stud stallion Awesome of Course continues his impressive run of high-class performers, as his 3-year-old filly Awesome Belle became his fourth stakes winner of 2012 after winning the $75,000 Three Ring S. [VIDEO] on July 21 at Calder. Incredibly, Awesome of Course's fourth black-type winner came despite just 17 starters this year—an unforeseen 24% stakes winners from starters in 2012. Only two Florida stallions have more stakes winners with 5, but have 293 combined starters among them in 2012.

For Awesome Belle, she returned on just two weeks rest after contesting the Azalea S. (G3) at Calder on Summit of Speed day, and the chestnut filly stretched back out around two turns and scored a front-running win in the Three Ring. She earned an 88 Beyer, a career best so far for the multiple stakes winner out of the Bayou Hebert mare Bayou Plans.

Awesome Belle also won the $300,000 My Dear Girl S. while stretching out around two turns as a 2-year-old in last year's final leg of the Florida Stallion Stakes at Calder. Bred and owned by Fred Brei's Jacks or Better Farm Inc., the filly now holds earnings of $308,387. The Florida-bred filly is conditioned by trainer Stanley Gold.
