Cowtown Cat, the nation's co-leading freshman sire of winners, notched number four at Calder on Saturday with Cat Five Hurricane scoring easily by 4 1/4-lengths [VIDEO]. The Grade 2-winning stallion also tops the Florida first-crop sire list in progeny earnings and has twice as many winners as any other Florida freshman sire.

Cat Five Hurricane proved much the best with his gate-to-wire victory in the five furlong contest. Bred in Florida by Gulf Coast Farms, the bay colt is owned by Hurricane Stables LLC.

The winner, out of Cochet Cochet, is a half-brother to the stakes-placed Just Thunder, one of six winning siblings. Cochet Cochet is a full sister to two-time stakes winner Lady Clever Trick.
