Forget That Gal battled her way to a head victory in a maiden turf race Friday at Gulfstream Park, giving her sire Cowtown Cat his twelfth winner from his first crop. Cowtown Cat leads all Florida freshman sires in terms of winners, and is second in earnings, behind only fellow Journeyman first-year sire Circular Quay.

Forget That Gal prevailed for her first career victory at seven and a half furlongs after a stretch-long duel and a three-way photo finish.

Bred in Florida, Forget That Gal is a half-sister to four winners, out of Memory Rock, whose siblings include Mountain Range, winner of the $200,000 Cradle S. at age two, and Royal Vindication, who took Belmont Park's Trapp Mountain S. as a juvenile.

Journeyman recently announced stud fees for 2013, and Cowtown Cat will stand for $4,000 LFS&N.
