Elusive Vacation drew off in the final furlong to break her maiden by a comfortable 3 1/2-lengths Oct. 15 at Calder Race Course. The 2-year-old daughter of Exclusive Quality is the ninth winner from the first crop by her sire, who ranks second among Florida's freshman sires in terms of winners.

Elusive Vacation was bred in Florida by Carolin von Rosenberg and Mike Yovankin. She is the first foal out of Northern Vacation, who was twice stakes-placed and is a half-sister to Grade 3 Dogwood S. winner Salty Strike and stakes winner Salty Response.

The winner was bought by her owner/trainer Joseph Saffie at this April's OBS Spring 2-year-old sale.
