The first two-year-old to sell from the first crop of Cowtown Cat was popular in the sales ring, bringing $100,000 on Day One of the OBS March Select Sale.

Hip 25, a gray/roan colt out of Leggy Super Model, by Vigors, worked an eighth of a mile in :10.2 at the under tack show, then sold for six figures early on Tuesday to WinStar Farm. He was originally purchased for $20,000 at the OBS August yearling sale by Monarch Farm, and was prepped and consigned to this sale by Sequel Bloodstock.

The Florida-bred juvenile is a half-brother to two stakes winners of over $330,000 each, graded stakes winner Rizzi’s Girl and Belmont stakes winner Papi Chullo. In addition, another of his half-siblings placed in two of the three Florida Stallion Stakes races.

Cowtown Cat, a $1,500,000 sale topper himself, is the only multiple graded stakes-winning 3-year-old by Distorted Humor at stud in Florida. He stands for $4,000 live foal.
