Journeyman Stud's first-crop sire Saint Anddan got his second career winner July 8 at Presque Isle Downs. Shotinthefog came from just off the pace in the 4 1/2-furlong sprint to charge down the lane to a 2 1/4-length win over the synthetic surface.

The bay juvenile earned $23,400 for his win. He is owned by Gayle Woods and trained by Joseph Cheeks. Woods purchased Shotinthefog out of the OBS open yearling sale in August of 2010.

Bred in Florida by Linda Eileen Capozzoli, Shotinthefog is out of the unraced Charismatic mare Brewmatic, who is a half-sister to three-time stakes winner Malt and comes from the same family as $700K earner Patchy Groundfog, the last horse ridden by the great Willie Shoemaker.

Saint Anddan, by A.P. Indy, was a winner for three consecutive years, with his biggest score coming in the Grade 2 Churchill Downs H. at age five, the same year he won the Duncan F. Kenner S. at Fair Grounds. He compiled a 5-4-2 record in 16 starts, earning $423,170. The 9-year-old stands at Journeyman for a fee of $4,500, LFS&N.
