Two of Journeyman Stud's young guns enjoyed successful showings from their first yearlings offered at public auction, as racing prospects by Wildcat Heir and Bwana Charlie were well-received at the OBS August Select Sale on August 18.
Wildcat Heir had more yearlings sell during the Select session of the sale than any other sire with first-crop offerings. The Forest Wildcat horse was represented with eight sold for a strong average of $44,938 - more than 5 ½ times his fee - including individuals of $95,000, $70,000 and $65,000.
Bwana Charlie had one filly in the Select session that turned out to be a popular one, bringing $67,000 – more than 11 times the fee for the son of Indian Charlie.
