Consolidator arrived at his new home of Brent and Crystal Fernung’s Journeyman Stud in Ocala, FL on Friday, Nov. 20th, where the Grade 1-winning son of Storm Cat will stand the 2010 breeding season.
Consolidator won the $500,000 Breeders’ Futurity S. (G1) at Keeneland at two and returned on the Triple Crown Trail at three and lowered a 26-year-old record in the $250,000 San Felipe S. (G2) at Santa Anita, running 1 1/16 miles in 1:40.11. The gorgeous chestnut has enjoyed solid success so far at stud, siring 17 first-crop 2-year-old winners to date in 2009.
