The current crop of 2-year-olds by Hear No Evil have gotten off to an excellent start this season, propelling the Journeyman stallion to the top spot on the Southeast Region 2-year-old sire list with $154,399 in earnings through July 15.

Leading the way is the stakes winning filly Conquest Whiplash, who beat the boys with front-running victory in the $153,000 Victoria S. at Woodbine on June 22. The feat was all the more impressive considering it was her racing debut.

The filly was well-regarded in the sales ring too. Her trainer Mark Casse bought her for $370,000 at the OBS Spring sale of 2-year-olds in training in April, the highest price paid for a filly at the sale.

Hear No Evil also has a pair of maiden special weight 2-year-old winners, both at Calder, this spring.

Hear No Evil's juveniles have been a hit at the 2-year-old auctions this year as well. His average sale price of $99,500 is second-best among all Florida sires.

This young crop is continuing Hear No Evil's legacy that began with the outstanding Jackson Bend. To date, the 6-year-old has bankrolled $1,648,250. Along the way in five seasons of racing, Jackson Bend has wins in the Forego S. (G1), Carter H. (G1), Hal's Hope S. (G3), and a sweep of Florida's Stallion stakes series as a 2-year-old. His overall record stands at 9-6-5 from 30 starts.
