Despite a small first crop of 11 2-year-olds, Hear No Evil is proving to be one of the best Freshman Sires in the country. On Saturday, Nov. 14th, he picked up his second stakes winner when his colt Hear Ye Hear Ye won the $150,000 Jack Price Juvenile S. on the Florida Millions program at Calder.

Hear Ye Hear Ye stalked the early pace before making the lead in the stretch of the seven-furlong event and proving best by 1 ¾ lengths on the wire. The final time was 1:25.39. Trained by Stanley Gold, the speedy gray colt showed great promise by breaking his maiden impressively at Calder in August – earning a 94 Beyer. Now he is a stakes winner of $129,977 for his owner and breeder Jacks or Better Farm Inc.

Out of the Unbridled’s Song mare I Am Nifty, the Florida-bred colt joins former stablemate Jackson Bend as stakes winners from the limited first crop of Hear No Evil. Jackson Bend is regarded as one of the top juveniles in the country after sweeping the Florida Stallion Stakes Series at Calder. He was recently acquired in part and transferred to trainer Nick Zito.
