Hear Ye Hear Ye left his rivals in the dust with a 5 3/4-length victory in the $55,000 Sumter S. May 7 at Calder. This was the second stakes victory for the 4-year-old son of Hear No Evil; he won the $150,000 Jack Price Juvenile in 2009.

The Jacks or Better Farms homebred made short work of the Sumter field. He went into the first turn of the 1 mile and 70 yard contest with a two length lead, and he maintained that margin down the backstretch and around the final turn. He got a nod from his jockey in the stretch, and the gray or roan colt ran away from the field to stop the clock in 1:44.55. The 97 Beyer Speed Figure is his best in 23 lifetime starts.

Hear Ye Hear Ye has earned $229,510 in his career. He is one of three stakes horses in 2011 for his sire. The other two, Evil Queen and Jackson Bend, both placed in graded stakes.

Florida bred Hear Ye Hear Ye is out of I Am Nifty, who's four foals are all winners, and as a testament to her producing durable runners, all four have made at least 23 starts.
