Perfect Wind stormed to a six-length maiden win Dec. 23 going 5 1/2-furlongs at Parx. The 2-year-old son of Journeyman Stud freshman sire Indy Wind manhandled his foes with a sweeping four-wide move at the top of the stretch, easily taking command and drawing off for the win.
Indy Wind, Florida's leading freshman sire by A.P. Indy, blossomed as an older horse, winning stakes at ages 4, 5 and 6. Journeyman recently announced stud fees for next year, and Indy Wind will return for the 2013 season at $2,500, LFS&N.
Perfect Wind, bred in Florida by Hardacre Farm LLC, earned $13,400 for the win. The chestnut gelding is owned by Happy Hour Stable.
