Day 1 of the Jan. 22-24 OBS 2014 Winter Mixed Sale saw Journeyman Bloodstock Services, Inc. consign and sell the top two highest-priced lots of the session.

Hip No. 236, Back to Class, a Montbrook filly, went to Adena Springs for $85,000. The 4-year-old chestnut filly is out of Cut Class Leanne, by Cutlass, and is a full sister to Grade 2 Sanford S. winner Chapel Royal.

Earlier in the session, Journeyman offered hip No. 79, Missy Rules, a 4-year-old stakes winning daughter of Peace Rules. The filly sold to Donato Lanni, Agent, for $80,000. The bay filly, out of Missy McKee, is a half-sister to Gallant Bloom H. (G2) stakes winner Umpateedle.

Journeyman also sold Sarah Cataldo, an 8-year-old daughter of Smarty Jones, as hip No. 73, for $50,000 to Ben Glass, agt. for Gary and Mary West. Sarah Cataldo, whose first foal was a 2013 Cowtown Cat colt, was sold with her 2014 Wildcat Heir filly, who was born on January 17. Sarah Cataldo is a half-sister to both Love of Money, winner of the Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby and the stakes winner Astrid.
