Brent & Crystal Fernung's Journeyman Stud announced its 14-stallion roster with fees for 2011, headlined by Florida's Leading General Sire Wildcat Heir, who will stand for $10,000 live foal stands and nurses.

Fresh off a record-breaking first crop that included 39 2-year-old winners in 2009, Wildcat Heir enjoyed an even stronger 2010 with 7 stakes winners and progeny earnings of $4,243,030 and counting – both tops in Florida among all sires despite only having two crops to race.

“We're excited to be able to offer Florida breeders such a top-notch stallion like Wildcat Heir,” said Brent Fernung. “He typifies what we're trying to do at Journeyman. We've had some recent good fortune managing the starts for stallions like Congrats, Repent, Mass Media and Wildcat Heir, and I have no doubt there are more of those among the young and exciting group of stallions we currently have to offer at Journeyman.”

Mass Media is Florida's Leading Freshman Sire by Stakes Winners and Stakes Horses in 2010, and currently has an astonishing 26% stakes horses among his 2-year-old starters. He will stand 2011 for a fee of $2,000 stands and nurses, and will offer a unique incentives program that can be learned about on JourneymanStud.com.

Journeyman also stands the Top 3 2010 Second-Crop Sires in Florida. Just under Wildcat Heir are Consolidator and Bwana Charlie, who both sired graded stakes winners this year. Consolidator will stand for $4,000 stands and nurses, and Bwana Charlie will stand for $2,500 stands and nurses. Also among the leading second-crop sires is Hear No Evil, sire of the top Florida-bred performer Jackson Bend. Hear No Evil will stand for $3,500 stands and nurses.

Journeyman's new stallions for 2011 include Awesome of Course and Kiss the Kid. Awesome of Course, who sired recent Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) winner and pro tem Eclipse Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Awesome Feather, will stand for $5,000 stands and nurses. Kiss the Kid, a multiple graded stakes winner by Lemon Drop Kid, will stand his introductory season at stud for a fee of $3,500 stands and nurses.
