Journeyman Stud 1-2 on Freshman Sires List

Journeyman Stud’s freshman sires Wildcat Heir and Bwana Charlie have gotten off to a lightning-fast start with their respective debut crops to hit the racetrack, ranking nationally as the Leading Freshman Sires through May 12th with an impressive six combined winners from nine starters.

Wildcat Heir has enjoyed flashy debut winners in maiden special weight company at Santa Anita, Gulfstream, Arlington and Calder, and his progeny earnings of $96,003 give him a sizable lead in the early returns for first-crop sires. The Grade 1-winning sprinter by Forest Wildcat has had six 2-year-olds race to date. His initial crop consists of 85 2-year-olds.

Bwana Charlie has two winners from three starters to date, including impressive maiden special weight winners at Keeneland and Calder. The multiple graded stakes-winning son of Indian Charlie has current progeny earnings of $45,677 – good for second on the Freshman Sires List.
