My Mass Media became the second winner for his sire Mass Media when he broke his maiden by 4 3/4-lengths June 4 at Calder. With two winners from just three starters, freshman sire Mass Media tops Florida's first-crop list and ranks fifth nationally. What may be more impressive is that his only starter to lose ran second behind his initial winner.

At Calder, My Mass Media got away fifth in the 4 1/2-furlong race, but was only two lengths off the lead after a quarter mile. He slipped through on the rail coming into the stretch, swiftly taking the lead and opening up on the field to win with ease.

Florida-bred My Mass Media is out of My Favorite Rose, who is a half-sister to Champagne d'Oro, runner up in the Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks. He is owned by her breeder Y-Lo Racing Stables LLC and trained by Ronald Behrens.
