The April 16-19 Under Tack Show for the OBS 2013 Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds sale concluded with several juveniles by Journeyman Stud stallions making a big impression in advance of the April 22-25 auction.

During the Day 1, Wildcat Heir has the fastest colt of the session when hip No. 4 zipped through a eighth mile in 9 4/5 seconds. The bay colt is consigned by de Meric Sales, agent. The Florida-bred juvenile is the first foal out of Additional Prayer, winner of Calder's J J'sDream S.

On day 2, it was a pair of fillies by Journeyman stallion who posted session-best times of  9 4/5 seconds. Hip No. 594, by Wildcat Heir, also consigned by de Meric, is out of Leah's Angel, making her a half-sister to Grade 3 Chaposa Springs S. winner Expect An Angel.

The second filly, hip No. 440 by Cowtown Cat, is from the McCathan Brothers consignment. The Florida bred chestnut is out of the stakes-placed mare Goodbye Beautiful, who in turn is a half-sister to a trio of stakes winners.

Day 3 saw a filly by Hear No Evil work the fastest quarter mile of the entire four days, clocking in at 20 2/5 seconds. Consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, agent, hip No. 890 is out of Saint Sammi, by Saint Ballado, a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Flame Thrower.

Also on day 3, hip No. 807, a dark bay or brown Wildcat Heir filly named Ramona’s Wildcat, worked a quarter mile in 20 3/5 seconds. Consigned by Indian Prairie Ranch, agent, the filly is out of Pretty Indian, by Indian Charlie, a half sister to two-time stakes winner Color of Smoke.

Another Wildcat Heir made headlines on day 4 when hip No. 1033 worked a session-best quarter mile in :20 4/5 seconds. The bay filly consigned by All Dreams Equine, agent is out of Sugar Run, by Meadowlake, a full sister to stakes winner Amalake.

Journeyman stallion Circular Quay also had a “best of show” on day 4 with hip No. 1096, who went the fastest 3/8ths of the four days, getting the distance in 33 seconds flat. The Blue River Bloodstock consignee, named Cheers of Thunder, is out of the unraced Indian Charlie Trail of Cheers. Her dam, Crafty Devil, is a full sister to Crafty Friend, a four-time graded stakes winner who equaled a track record in the Grade 2 Bel Air H.
