A colt by hot freshman sire Mass Media topped the second session of the Ocala Breeders’ August Yearling Sale on August 25.

Consigned by Sharon Biamonte, agent, Hip 300 sold for $50,000 to Sarah McCord. The dark bay or brown colt was bred in Florida by Biamonte and Al Milano, and is out of the winning Defrere mare Defrills.

Mass Media is Florida’s fourth-ranked freshman sire, with five winners and four placed from his first 12 starters, including two stakes horses. He stood the 2010 season at Journeyman Stud for $2,000.
