Two colts by Wildcat Heir sold for more than $100,000, both more than 12x his stud fee, at the March 5 Barretts Select Sale of 2-year-olds in training held at the southern California auction house. Wildcat Heir, who was Florida's champion sire in both 2010 and 2011, has started off this year in excellent fashion as well, and is ranked third on the Florida list for 2012.

The pair of juveniles was led by hip No. 44, a bay colt consigned by Herbert Bloodstock, agent. The winning bid of $125,000 was submitted by Hirotsuga Inokuma. The colt is out of the excellent producer Aleyna's Love, who has nine winners from 10 foals, led by Who Loves Aleyna, second in the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and We All Love Aleyna, runner-up in the Del Mar Breeders' Cup H. (G2).

Hip No. 27, another bay colt, brought a winning bid of $120,000 from Peter and Ellen Johnson. Consigned by Stephens Thoroughbreds, agent, the Florida bred juvenile is out of the unraced Tiznow mare Tiz What It Waz and comes from a family that includes champion sprinter and Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) winner Reraise, as well as French champion sprinter Lianga.
