Saint Anddan, Florida's leading freshman sire of winners, notched number ten on Oct. 6 when Bleu Darling galloped home a ten-length winner in a six furlong maiden special weight contest at Hawthorne.
Bleu Darling was in front the entire trip, separating herself from the field in the second quarter-mile and continued to increasing her margin through the stretch to get the distance in 1:12.04.
Nancy Jo Bauman bred the winner in Louisiana. She is out of the Sultry Song mare Penn Central. The bay filly is now owned by Darrell and Evelyn Yates. Bleu Darling was third in her debut and has earned $21,359 in her two starts.
