The year got off to a fast start for Saint Anddan when Holy Man annexed the First Citizens First Sprint (G2) at Arima Race Club in Trinidad on January 1. The winner, who had just turned three, netted $81,000 for the victory.

Going 1,200 meters (about five furlongs), Holy Man was challenged by Bergeron Rodeo turning for home, but the eventual winner had plenty in reserve to hold off his foe to win by a length

Bred by Journeyman, the bay colt is out of High Wire Girl, a daughter of Grade 2 Schuylerville S. winner Our Dancing Girl.

Saint Anddan wrapped up 2013 as one of only two Florida Third-Crop stallions to have sired multiple stakes winners. He will stand this year at Journeyman for $2,000 LFS&N.
