Saint Anddan had his second winner in three days when Saint D'aroak broke her maiden at second asking at Hoosier Park on Aug. 27. The 2-year-old filly is the fifth winner for her sire, who ranks second among all first-crop Florida stallions.
Saint D'aroak had to battle the entire six furlongs of the maiden special weight contest. With never more than a half-length separating her and Glossed and Found, it was until inside the final furlong she wore down her foe to win in 1:13 on a fast track.
After running a close third in her debut, Saint D'aroak is now 1-0-1 and has earned $24,500 for owner/breeders Dennis and Cynthia Claramunt and Randy Klopp, who also is the dark bay filly's trainer.
