Man I Can became the seventh winner from the first crop by Mass Media on September 23, breaking his maiden over 7 furlongs at Woodbine.
The Florida-bred juvenile forced the pace for a half mile, then challenged four-wide, before striding clear in the upper stretch. Out of the two-year-old stakes mare Illusive Partner, Man I Can was bred by Wings Ranch, and races now for C.E.C. Farms.
Mass Media has sired a stakes winner, two $100,000 stakes-placed juveniles, and four other winners on both dirt and all-weather surfaces. He ranks fourth in Florida and 13th in North America among all first-crop sires, with seven winners, four 2nds, and progeny earnings exceeding $225,000. Mass Media stood the 2010 season at Journeyman Stud for $2,000.
