Exclusive Quality's leading earner of 2013, Sr. Quisqueyano, padded his impressive resume with a gate to wire win in the $115,000 Eight Mile East S. Saturday at Gulfstream Park (VIDEO). The 3-year-old has now won or placed in eight stakes, including a win in the $250,000 Calder Derby in April.

Exclusive Quality is fifth on Florida's 2013 General Sire list with $1.95 million in progeny earnings.

Sr. Quisqueyano set all the pace in the 8 1/2-furlong Eight Mile East, opening up by as much as three lengths in the stretch before holding off 4-5 favorite Where's Sterling by a neck. The final time was 1:45.28 on a fast track.

Bred in Florida by Do-Little Farm LLC, Sr. Quisqueyano has bankrolled $414,150 for owner DDRD Racing, Inc.

Exclusive Quality fillies Look of a Star, Solitary also earn black type Saturday at Calder

In her first stakes start and first around two turns, Look of a Star managed a solid third in the $74,000, one mile Lindsay Frolic S. after encountering some trouble in mid-stretch. The 2-year-old filly, bred in Florida by Alfonso Figliolia, has never been worse than third in four lifetime starts.

Solitary, bred and sold by Journeyman, was third in the $75,000 Catcharisingstar S. in just her second lifetime starts, following a sharp maiden score a month ago at Gulfstream Park. She is owned by N. T. S. Stable, Inc., who purchase the filly for $30,000 from the Journeyman consignment at the 2013 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale in April.
