EXCLUSIVE QUALITY, a stakes winner who won three of four career starts, will begin his stallion career in 2008 at Brent and Crystal Fernung’s Journeyman Stud in Ocala.

The four-year-old ELUSIVE QUALITY colt out of First Glimmer, by Glitterman, will stand for $4,000 for a syndicate.

An $850,000 purchase at the 2004 Keeneland September yearling sale by Buzz Chase for Aaron and Marie Jones, EXCLUSIVE QUALITY finished second in his debut as a two-year-old in November 2005 at Aqueduct.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, the bay colt broke his maiden in his second start by beating future champion BERNARDINI by 5 lengths. He set a new track record in his next start going 7 furlongs in 1:21.11 defeating eventual graded stakes winner Songster.

In his fourth start EXCLUSIVE QUALITY beat future graded stakes winner IN SUMMATION by 91/4 lengths and future graded stakes winner DIABOLICAL by 1/2 by winning the Spectacular Bid Stakes before having his career cut short by injury.

“We're really excited to get this horse,” Brent Fernung said. “He was an extremely talented horse on the racetrack and the horses that he beat show just how good he really was. He is also a gorgeous horse physically – he simply takes your breath away when you look at him. If he leaves them like himself his foals will sell very well, and if they run like him, he could be any kind of sire."

Bred in Florida by Manali Farm, Exclusive Quality earned $92,600.
