Logan's Peak used a final furlong surge to break her maiden Dec. 1 at Woodbine, moving her sire Teuflesberg into the sixth spot on Florida's freshman sire list. With 17 runners from 30 foals in his first crop, Teuflesberg has already accounted for Trinniberg, second in the Grade 1 Hopeful S., and stakes placed Not an Altar Boy.

Logan's Peak was locked in a four way duel before pulling clear in the last eighth-mile to win the seven furlong contest by three-quarters of a length. The dark bay filly is now 1-1-0 after finishing second in her debut in November.

The winner was bred in Canada by M. E. Kennedy, who co-owns her with D. G. Menzies. Logan's Peak is a half-sister to three winners out of the unraced mare Yukon Lady, who is a half-sister to Lasersport, winner of the Grade 3 San Miguel S.
