With a final bid of $450,000, a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Trinniberg, by Teuflesberg, was the top-priced filly, and third-highest overall, in the two-day Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale of 2-year-olds held at Timonium, Md. May 21-22.

The winning bid for hip No. 332 came from Abdullah Saeed Almaddah a native of Saudi Arabia who is involved in the international investment industry, and was represented by trainer Chad Brown at the sale.

The dark bay or brown filly was bred in Kentucky by JM Stables and consigned by McKathan Brothers, agent. She is the third foal out of the stakes-placed mare Bella Dorato. The filly made an impression after breezing an eighth-mile in 10 1/5 seconds at the under tack show (VIDEO).

“We liked this filly quite a bit at Keeneland,” Brown said. “She breezed well, but she was scratched (from the April 2-year-old sale), so we followed her over here and she breezed just as well on the dirt. She was just a very consistent filly in both breezes and we really like a good-looking horse. She's showed a lot of potential."

Trinniberg, winner of the Grade 3 Swale S. and Grade 3 Bay Shore, is Teuflesberg's leading earner of 2012 and helped propel him to third place on Florida's 2012 Second Crop Sire list.
