Hey Brayden went right to the front en route to a 2 1/4-length maiden win at Calder to give his sire Exclusive Quality his tenth winner from his first crop, the second-most among all Florida freshman sires. The Journeyman stallion is also fourth on the same list in terms of earnings.

The winner was bred in Florida by Richard and Mary Tortora. She is the first foal out of Hay Cheif, who hit the board in 14 of 25 lifetime starts. Hay Cheif is a half-sister to the stakes placed and two-time track record setter Hay Getoutofmyway.
