Leading Freshman Sire Wildcat Heir got his 22nd winner in dynamic fashion on Monday night, Oct. 5th, as his 2-year-old Banner Cat streaked to a fast maiden special weight victory at Remington Park – romping by seven lengths and earning a 90 Beyer Speed Figure.

Wildcat Heir had two maiden special weight winners on Monday, as Karmageddon, a 2-year-old filly, also was impressive in a $47,000 maiden special at the Meadowlands.

Steve Asmussen trains Banner Cat, who ran six furlongs in 1:10.42 on a track listed as ‘good’. The chestnut gelding now has a win and a second from two starts with earnings of $20,808 for owner Marilyn Asmussen. He was bred in Florida by Rick Sutherland from the Devil’s Bag mare Devil’s Banner.
