Wildcat Heir, who stands at Ocala-based Journeyman Stud, is currently the leading
Freshman and Juvenile sire in North America. With statistics through June 2, Wildcat Heir has progeny earnings of $135,978 to top both lists.

From 11 starters to date, Wildcat Heir has recorded five winners. His progeny have won maiden special weight races at such tracks as Santa Anita Racetrack, Arlington Racecourse, Gulfstream Park and Calder Racetrack. Wildcat Heir's leading earner with $30,528 is Wildcat Aly, a 2-year-old filly out of the General Meeting mare Stanford Reunion. Completing the roster of Wildcat Heir's winners to date are Convoy Ahead, Kitty in the Bag, Wildcat Honor and Richiegirlgonewild.

“When we brought Wildcat Heir to stand in Florida, we knew we were bringing in a quality stallion,” said Journeyman Stud President Brent Fernung. “From the start, breeders responded very well to him. He's had a book of 100 plus mares each of his four seasons at stud. More proof that breeders have embraced Wildcat Heir is that his first five winners were bred by five different breeders. That shows his impact across a good cross section of breeders who are benefiting by breeding their mares to him.”

A Grade I stakes-winning son of Forest Wildcat out of the multiple stakes-producing Pentelicus mare Penniless Heiress, Wildcat Heir won the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash (G1). He earned $424,460 in five seasons of racing and entered stud in 2006.
