Going through the ring nearly back-to-back, a pair of Wildcat Heir yearlings fetched strong prices at the OBS Select yearling sale Aug. 23-25. The duo brought $70,000 and $62,000, among the top 20 highest prices during the first day of the sale.
Hip No. 157, a gray filly, went for $62,000 to Ike and Dawn Thrash from consignor Marion Bloodstock Sales, agent. Three horses later, hip No. 160, a bay filly, brought the $70,000 price tag from buyer Cromwell Bloodstock, agent from the consignment of Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck's Summerfield, as agent. Hip # 537 was purchased by Vision Racing and Sales for $85,000 - the horse was consigned by Summerfield Sales.
