
In a Barretts sale loaded with top-class sires, Wildcat Heir more than held his own, ranking second among all sires in terms of average price of all horses sold. The 2-year-old sale was held on Mar. 22 at the California sales company's headquarters at Fairplex.
A pair of chestnut horses by Wildcat Heir went through the ring, bringing an average of $75,000, nearly ten times his 2010 stud fee of $8,000 LF. The top seller was a colt consigned by Excel Bloodstock LLC, Agent. The chestnut was purchase for $100,000 by William J. Sims. The second was a filly consigned by Havens Bloodstock Agency Inc., Agent. She went to Suk Dae Kang for $50,000.
